Our History
Lymm Concert Band can trace its heritage back to the local brass bands of the early 1900s. The modern incarnation of the band has developed over the past 25 years and continues to go from strength to strength, since re-locating from Warrington to Lymm in the 1980s. Our Musical Director is professional musician Darren Wood, who took up the baton in 2004 and is dedicated to developing and improving the performance standard of the band through our weekly rehearsals and yearly concert schedule.
Our Ethos
We are a welcoming, friendly and dedicated group of community woodwind/brass musicians (now some 45+ strong), with a genuine passion for performing to the best of our ability whilst providing great entertainment to our concert audiences.
